Aircraft Maintenance Equipment

HAWKER AERO RECTIFIER / POWER SUPPLY / CHARGER

This device supplies power for performing maintenance tasks on an aircraft.
It can be used in two ways:
• In parallel, connected to the GPU itself (this is the recommended method whenever possible).
• Directly to the aircraft via an adapter connected to its 3-pin cable.

On one side, it features a regulator with 3 selectable positions, displaying the output voltage on a screen: 28V, 29.5V, and 30.5V.

Operation in Parallel with Main Models:

  1. Select 28V on the 3-position regulator when you need to power the aircraft for maintenance using the Model 2879 or the new 26V Model 26180. When connected in parallel, it supplies power to the aircraft and also functions as a fast charger.

  2. Select 29.5V for use with the Model 2881 or the new 28V Model 28180. When connected in parallel, it supplies power to the aircraft.

  3. Select 30.5V for fast-charging the batteries of the Model 2881 or the new 28V Model 28180.

These rectifier/charger/power supply models are available in 30A, 50A, and 60A.

IMPORTANT NOTE: While fast charging is possible with the aforementioned models, to preserve the full lifespan of the batteries, it is advisable to regularly use the slower trickle charger supplied with the starter unit. Additionally, please maintain the equipment's charge above 26V for 26V models and above 28V for 28V models. This will ensure optimal battery maintenance.

OPTIONAL ADAPTER CABLE:

OPTIONAL ADAPTER CABLE:
If you are using a 28V starter unit like the Model 2881 or 28180, the rectifier's selector must be set to approximately 29.5V (minor variations are irrelevant – Position 2 on the selector) when used for power supply.

For certain maintenance tasks and depending on the aircraft model, some systems only support a 28V input. If you need to power these specific systems with this exact voltage, you can connect the rectifier directly to the aircraft using the adapter cable, or use it with the 26V units 2879 and 26180, where the rectifier can be set to a 28V output.

FOR ENGINE STARTING: THE RECTIFIER MUST BE DISCONNECTED AND UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS POWER.
